Hi! I’m Shayra Feliz, a 2D/3D illustrator from the Dominican Republic, now based in Atlantic Canada. I create visual stories that connect with people and spark awareness. Much of my work focuses on social activism, human rights, and women’s empowerment, including collaborations with organizations like the Multicultural Council of New Brunswick, Soul of Falasteen Society, and illustrating "Don't Come in on Fire" a book about social work.

As a Dominican artist, my cultural heritage deeply influences my creative vision and commitment to social justice. I specialize in visual communications with the goal to  inspire reflection and create positive change.

I’m always open to freelance projects or studio opportunities, especially those where art can make a difference.

2022-2024

During my 3D Digital Design diploma, I gained experience with software like Blender, ZBrush, Unreal Engine, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, and Adobe Creative Suite. Coursework focused on 3D modeling, texturing, animation, constructive drawing, and 3D printing.

I developed strong technical skills in digital sculpting, texturing, and modeling, providing me with a solid foundation in 3D design and the ability to successfully utilize essential software and techniques in the industry.​

2018-2020

During my Illustration program at Chavón The School of Design, I mastered digital and traditional illustration techniques, recognizing design elements in every creative decision. With a deep understanding of illustration and graphic design principles, I created engaging visuals for various mediums.

 

My training covered drawing, sculpture, advanced animation, digital painting, vector art, storyboarding, illustration techniques providing me with a versatile skill set to communicate ideas and stories effectively through captivating graphics.
